Cooking Dessert

Cooking Dessert: Fun. Easy. Enjoyable.

Can you imagine life without dessert? Dessert can put the finishing touch on any lunch or dinner. And the best part is that it doesn’t have to be particularly pricey or complex. Even with inexpensive and basic ingredients, you can make cooking dessert a success.

While dessert isn’t technically "necessary"after a meal, a meal can certainly feel incomplete without it. The sweetness of a dessert can be the cherry on top of a perfect meal.

Here are some helpful tips for preparing desserts:

1. Freeze brown bananas.
Along with grapes and avocados, bananas have one of the highest contents of sugar, among all fruits. They’re also an excellent source of Vitamin Bs and potassium. One of the drawbacks of bananas is that they go bad extremely quickly. But when that happens, instead of tossing away the herbs, freeze them instead. You could use them later for breads, cakes, and even shakes or smoothies!

2. Make homemade ice cream sandwiches.

Ice cream sandwiches are a dessert that many of us have been enjoying since childhood. But you can make this classic yourself. It will taste better and can save you a ton of money. Simply place your favorite flavor of ice cream between two of your favorite cookies. While it’s one of the simplest desserts to prepare, it can also be one of the tastiest!

3. Prevent the tops of brownies from crumbling.

After the brownies after cooled, simply flip them over before cutting them.

4. Puree fresh fruit.

Fresh fruit is basically the perfect natural dessert-it’s sweet, tasty, and filling! While many types of desserts have fruit flavoring, there’s indeed nothing like the real thing! One method for cooking dessert is to puree fresh fruit, and then blend it into plain yogurt. Yogurt is also not only tasty, but is also an excellent source of calcium.

5. Substitute chocolate chips with candy bar chunks.
This will provide you with chunkier cookies and cakes.

6. Store non-sweetened cocoa powder properly.

By doing that, the cocoa powder can have a fresh life of up to two years! You’ll need to store the powder in a sealed container. Then place the container in a location that’s dark and cool.

7. Keep the oven door closed for the first 15 minutes of baking a cake.
Taking this step will prevent your cake from collapsing. There’s no need to test the cake before that time anyway.

8. Perfect your ice cream.

Homemade ice cream can be the perfect dessert on a boiling summer day. However, one of the keys is to get the right consistency. To create a smooth texture, chill the ice cream blend before you freeze it. Then while the ice cream is freezing, make sure to stir it continually. Finally, when the ice cream is done freezing, allow it to stand for a minimum of four hours.

When you’re ready for cooking dessert, taking some basic steps can create extraordinary results. Then your relatives and friends will have their just desserts-believing that you spent the entire afternoon preparing them!
