In order to form the dumplings you will need to cover your hands with flour so it doesn’t stick. Cut the dough around the size of a grape and roll it up. Then spread it out thinly and fill it with half a teaspoon of the filling that you’ve prepared. Close the edges tightly in order to remove any excess air inside the dumpling while rolling it back into the shape of a round dumping. Place the dumplings onto a pre-dusted baking sheet.
To prepare, start boiling a pot of water and place the dumplings in one by one. Add cold water so you get a soft boil. At the same time, you might also want to prepare your favorite nuts by crushing and placing them onto a plate.
Once the dumplings rise to the top, strain and place them onto the nuts until they’re fully covered. To top everything off, put the dumplings into spoons or dessert dishes, and sprinkle with fennel to serve.
